Do you give ibuprofen for fever?

My child has a fever right now, and I'm looking for safe ways to bring it down. I have some ibuprofen at home, but I'm not sure if it's generally recommended for fever in kids. Is ibuprofen a good option for treating fever?

For mild fever, usually paracetamol is safer and gentler on the stomach. As someone managing diabetes, I am very careful about any self-medication because it can affect kidney health. Please consult your doctor before taking ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen can help reduce fever, but it must be taken with caution as it can cause acidity or interact with other medications. Please get your fever checked by a doctor first to find the root cause, rather than just suppressing it with pills.

I was actually researching this online yesterday because I had a warm forehead. It seems ibuprofen works well for fever and body aches, but many people say paracetamol is much safer as a first option. Better to ask a pharmacist at least.

I totally get it, dealing with a fever and body pain is so exhausting and you just want quick relief. While ibuprofen works, it can sometimes be a bit harsh on the system. Try to consult a doctor or a pharmacist near you to get the correct dosage.

If you have high blood pressure like me, you should avoid ibuprofen because it can raise your BP levels. Paracetamol is generally a much safer bet for fever. Make sure you monitor your blood pressure and consult your physician before taking such pain relievers.

When I get a mild fever, I prefer to rest, drink plenty of water, and avoid heavy workouts. Ibuprofen can help with muscle soreness, but I only take it if my doctor specifically recommends it. Usually, simple rest and hydration work wonders.

Please be very careful with ibuprofen. I once took it for a high fever without a doctor's prescription and ended up with severe stomach bleeding. If the fever is high or persistent, please go to a clinic and get properly diagnosed.

Ibuprofen is quite strong and should never be taken on an empty stomach because it causes severe gastric irritation. My doctor always advised taking paracetamol first for fever, and only using ibuprofen if there is severe body pain, that too after food.

A fever is just the body's natural way of fighting off infections. Instead of rushing to take strong pills like ibuprofen, try resting, drinking warm herbal water, and putting a damp cloth on the forehead. If it still doesn't go down, please see a doctor.

I always get so anxious whenever I run a fever and start googling every single pill. Ibuprofen can sometimes cause stomach issues, so I usually stick to safe old paracetamol. Please check with a doctor if you feel really unwell, just to be on the safe side.
