Do you get a fever with hand foot and mouth?

My nephew just got diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease, and now my son has some small blisters on his hands. My nephew had a high fever before the blisters appeared. Does Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease always cause a fever?

It is completely normal to feel terrified when your child suddenly gets a high fever and spots. Yes, a fever is usually the very first sign of hand, foot, and mouth disease, so don't worry, it's a known pattern.

Our pediatrician explained that HFMD typically begins with a fever of 100-102 degrees, followed by throat pain and then skin lesions. It is a viral illness, so antibiotic treatment is not effective; focus on symptom relief.

Haan na, starting mein kaafi high fever aata hai and bache khana bilkul mana kar dete hain throat pain ki wajah se. Give them cold milk or curd to soothe the mouth sores.

Please monitor the fever and hydration closely. I thought my son just had a mild heat rash and ignored the early fever, which led to him getting severely dehydrated because he couldn't swallow water. See a doctor early.

I panicked so badly when the fever hit and then the spots appeared on my daughter's hands. But the doctor reassured us that it is a very common school-age virus that goes away naturally in 7 to 10 days.

HFMD is highly contagious, so keep the child isolated from other kids immediately. The fever can stay for 3-4 days, so keep a digital log of the temperature to share with your doctor.

Oh, the fever and those nasty red blisters! My toddler had it last month and literally cried for three days straight while I survived on black coffee. It passes, but man, it is a tough week.

My 2-year-old has a 101 fever and minor red dots on his feet today. Did anyone else's child start with just a few spots, or do they spread very quickly? I am quite anxious.
