Do you feel kidney stones pass?

Recently finding out I have a small kidney stone, my doctor said it might pass on its own. I'm really anxious about it. Will I definitely feel it when the kidney stone passes, or can it happen without me realizing it?

Honestly, you will definitely feel it, especially if the stone is a bit larger. For me, there was a sudden sharp pain that moved down towards my bladder, and then a strange relief. Just keep drinking lots of water and coconut water, it really helps the process.

In my 50s, I had two kidney stones. The pain while passing can be quite intense, but dont worry, it does not last forever. Once it slips into the bladder, the pressure drops instantly and you will feel so much lighter.

Bro, you can't miss it. It feels like a sharp pinch in your urinary tract when it's finally coming out. I literally heard a tiny 'clink' sound in the toilet bowl when mine finally passed. Just gulp down water like crazy.

I am actually dealing with this right now and I am quite scared. Does the pain stay in the back the whole time, or does it move? My doctor gave me some syrup, but I am still waiting for the stone to pass.

Whether it passes on its own depends entirely on the stone size. I went to Kokilaben Hospital for my checkup, and the urologist did an ultrasound to confirm the exact mm size. Better to ask your doctor directly instead of guessing.

Please be very careful with this. I tried waiting for mine to pass at home, but it got stuck and caused a severe kidney infection with high fever. If the pain is unbearable or you feel feverish, go to the hospital immediately.
