Do you dream during rem sleep?

Reading an article about different sleep stages, I saw it mentioned REM sleep. Is it true that most of our vivid dreams only happen during the REM stage, or can we dream in other stages too?

Bro, yes! That is exactly when the wildest dreams happen, like failing an exam you never prepared for. REM sleep is basically when your brain goes into full movie mode while your body is totally knocked out.

Yes, REM is when most vivid dreaming occurs. I had to learn about sleep cycles because my high blood pressure was causing poor sleep quality. Getting enough REM sleep is very important for heart health, so do get a checkup if you feel constantly tired.

Yes, you do dream mostly during REM. I went through a phase of severe anxiety where my dreams were so intense I woke up crying every night. It is completely normal, but if it is affecting your mental peace, please speak to a counselor.

Absolutely! That is the exact time I dream about unlimited cheese burst pizzas and hot jalebis. Honestly, having a heavy dinner right before bed can make your REM dreams even more vivid and crazy, so try to keep dinner a bit light!

Vivid dreaming is primarily associated with REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep because brain activity is very high. While dreaming is a healthy cognitive process, if you are experiencing frequent nightmares or disrupted sleep, it is best to consult a sleep specialist.
