Do you drain kidney beans for chili?

Trying to make a healthy chili recipe tonight, and it calls for canned kidney beans. Some recipes say to drain them and rinse, others don't mention it. For chili, do you usually drain the liquid from canned kidney beans, or do you include it?

Yes, draining and washing the beans is very good as it purifies the food and keeps your digestion calm and healthy. Preparing your meals with a peaceful mind and pure ingredients brings joy to the family. Take care of your health, dear.

Please drain them unless you want your family to experience a musical night of heavy gas later! That canned liquid is basically starch and salt, so wash them nicely before tossing them in. Your gut will thank you!

I totally get it, cooking can get confusing with all these different recipes online! Yes, draining the canned beans is best because that thick liquid has a lot of preservatives and excess salt. Rinsing them makes the dish taste much fresher and lighter.

Yes, always drain and rinse them under cold water. The liquid in the can makes the chili look muddy and adds a weird metallic taste that completely ruins the flavor. Clean beans give you a much better texture.

Definitely drain them, and honestly, if you want to save money, buy dried rajma instead of canned ones. It is much cheaper, healthier, and you can control the salt. Just soak them overnight and discard the water before boiling.

As someone who deals with gastro patients, I highly recommend draining and rinsing canned kidney beans. The liquid contains high sodium and complex sugars that cause severe bloating and flatulence. Wash them thoroughly to make the meal easier on the stomach.
