Do you belch with heart attack?

My uncle recently had a heart attack, and he was complaining about gas and indigestion beforehand. Someone told me that sometimes people might belch a lot during a heart attack. Is this actually a possible symptom to look out for?

Haan na, kai logon ko lagta hai ki bas acidity hai aur belching ho rahi hai, par actually yeh serious issue bhi ho sakta hai. Mere padosi ko bhi gas lag raha tha aur baad mein pata chala it was a cardiac issue. Please don't ignore it if there is chest heaviness, ho na.

Yes, some people do experience belching or a feeling of indigestion during a heart attack. If accompanied by chest pain, seek emergency medical care immediately.

Let's be very clear: belching can sometimes mask a heart attack, especially in women or elderly people who feel it as 'acidity'. If you also have chest tightness, sweating, or left arm pain, do not waste time taking antacids. Get to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.

Beta, many times we elders mistake heart discomfort for simple gas and try home remedies like ajwain water. But if the belching comes with heavy sweating or breathlessness, please do not wait for home remedies to work. Go to a hospital and get an ECG done immediately.

Agree with others, sometimes heart issues mimic simple gas and belching. Please consult a doctor immediately if you feel unusual pressure in your chest.

I totally get how confusing it is when your stomach feels bloated and you are burping, yet a part of you feels anxious about your heart. It can be so stressful to make that distinction. Please don't take any chances; if you feel even slightly breathless or have any chest discomfort, please seek medical help immediately.

My father always used to say that any sudden discomfort in the upper body should be taken seriously. While belching is usually just mild gas, it can sometimes be a atypical symptom of a heart attack. It is always best to trust a doctor and get an ECG done rather than assuming it is just indigestion.

This is so scary because I get frequent gas and belching and always worry if it's actually something wrong with my heart. Has anyone else felt sudden chest pressure along with hiccups or burping? I really think I should get a checkup done just to be safe.

Excuse me, I am new to this group and wanted to ask if belching alone is a sign of danger? My grandfather has been burping a lot today and feels a bit tired, so I am quite worried. Should we take him to the doctor right now?

When my uncle had his episode, he was just belching and complaining of mild discomfort, which we almost ignored. We rushed him to a good hospital where the cardiologist clearly told us that atypical presentations like burping and nausea are very common. Always ask your doctor clearly and get proper tests done without delay.
