Do you always have a fever with covid?
My colleague recently tested positive for Covid, but she said she never had a fever. I always thought fever was a sure sign. Is it possible to have Covid without always getting a fever?

I completely understand why you are asking this, as during the peak times, we all panicked checking our temperatures every hour. Honestly, when I got covid, my thermometer showed a normal 98.4 throughout, but I had terrible body aches and lost my sense of smell. It is very common to not have a fever, so don't let that fool you if you are feeling unwell.
Please do not rely only on fever as a symptom. I didn't have a high temperature initially, just a mild cough, but it later progressed into a severe chest infection that required hospitalization. If you suspect you have it or feel short of breath, get tested and consult a doctor immediately without waiting for a fever to develop.
I made the huge mistake of thinking it was just a regular throat tickle because I had absolutely no fever. I kept going to office and eventually got very weak and infected my whole family. Please don't ignore even mild scratchy throat or fatigue; get yourself checked by a doctor right away.
It was such a scary and isolating phase for so many of us, and the confusion around symptoms only made the mental stress worse. I had zero fever but was crying from the intense muscle pain and sheer anxiety of what might happen. If you are feeling off, your feelings and physical struggles are completely valid, even if your temperature is normal.
Nahi babu, aisa zaroori nahi hota. Hamare pados mein jab bimari aayi thi, toh kuch logon ko bilkul bukhar nahi tha, bas thoda jism dard aur kamzori thi. Isliye dhyan rakhiyega aur doctor sahab ki salah zaroor lijiye agar tabiyat dheeli lage.
You had a full night's sleep. You didn't skip dinner. You even sat down and rested for most of the aftern...
Actually bro, my parents had high fever for days when they got infected, but when it hit me, I just had a bad headache and felt super tired, no fever at all. I was literally attending online classes thinking it was normal fatigue. So yeah, you can definitely test positive even without a warm forehead.
