Do urinary tract infection cause fever?

Since yesterday, I've been feeling a burning sensation while peeing and also have a mild fever. My friend said it might be a UTI, and now I'm wondering if a urinary tract infection can actually cause fever too.

Beta, in my sixty years I have seen this happen to many family members. Yes, a bad UTI can definitely cause a sudden fever. Don't worry too much, just make sure they drink plenty of water and consult a general physician today itself.

UTI mein fever ho na toh attention dena padta hai, haan na. It usually means the infection is spreading upwards. Please check with a doctor immediately instead of waiting, and keep checking the temperature.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to suddenly get a fever when you already have burning urination. My mind also raced to the worst conclusions when it happened to me. Please take a deep breath, go to a clinic, and get a simple urine routine test done to ease your mind.

I literally just got over this last week and yes, I had a 101-degree fever along with chills. My doc told me fever means the body is fighting a stronger infection, so they put me on antibiotics. Don't delay starting the treatment because the fever won't go down with just paracetamol.

Please do not ignore this symptom. When I had a UTI with fever, I delayed going to the hospital and the infection reached my kidneys, which was extremely painful and required hospitalization. Go see a doctor immediately, as a fever with UTI is a red flag.

Fever with UTI needs a proper medical checkup, just like we monitor BP and sugar regularly. When the body gets an infection, your whole system feels the stress, which isn't good. Get a doctor to prescribe the right tests and focus on resting well.

Hey, don't stress too much! It is quite common to get a mild fever with a urinary infection, but you definitely need a doctor to give you the right course of meds. Just drink lots of coconut water, keep resting, and get it checked out today, okay?
