Do u grow in your sleep?

My son is in his growing years, and his dadi always tells him he'll grow taller if he sleeps a lot. Is it scientifically true that children primarily grow, or experience growth spurts, while they are sleeping?

Yes, sleep is when the body actually recovers and releases growth hormones. Since I was diagnosed with high BP, I've realized how much sleep quality affects everything in our body. Make sure you check your overall lifestyle and get your routine checkups done regularly to stay on track.

Wait, does this actually happen for adults too, or is it only for kids? I keep reading different things online and it makes me super anxious about my poor sleep habits. Has anyone else here noticed any actual changes in their body after fixing their sleep cycle?

Honestly, I used to obsess over sleep patterns and height issues so much that it made me really depressed. It's totally okay to feel overwhelmed by these questions, but please know that your body is doing its best work while you rest. Just try to sleep peacefully without stressing about the math of growing.

I completely understand why you're asking this, health anxiety can make you question every small detail about how your body works. Yes, science says the body repairs and grows during deep sleep stages. Try to take a deep breath and don't let these thoughts keep you awake at night.

Arre simple logic hai boss, sleep is when your muscles and tissues repair themselves. Agar achhi neend nahi loge toh body growth block ho jayegi, simple as that. Bas phone side rakho aur time pe so jao, rest will happen naturally.

At my age, the only thing growing in my sleep is my back pain if I use the wrong pillow! But jokes aside, yes, biological growth and healing definitely happen while you sleep. Enjoy your sleep while you're young, don't overanalyze it so much.

When I was discussing my fatigue issues at Kokilaben Hospital, the doctor explained how crucial deep sleep is for tissue growth and cellular repair. If you are concerned about your growth or sleep quality, it's always best to ask your physician directly during your next checkup.
