Do u get back pain when ur sick?

I've been feeling quite unwell for a couple of days, like a general viral infection. Along with feeling weak, I've also developed some lower back pain. Is it common to get back pain as a symptom when you're sick with a viral infection or flu?

Absolutely, my fitness tracker always shows a huge spike in my resting heart rate and a drop in sleep quality when I'm down with a fever, along with bad lower back stiffness. It is just systemic inflammation. Proper hydration and gentle stretching can really help track your recovery.

Yes, in my experience, body aches and back pain are very common when you have a viral fever or flu. Your body is just tired and fighting the infection. Rest well, drink warm broths, and you will feel fine in a few days.

Yes, when your immune system fights off a virus, it releases chemicals that cause muscle inflammation, often hitting the lower back. Skip the gym for a few days, focus on high-protein recovery meals, and let your body heal. Your muscles will bounce back soon.

Oh yes! Whenever I get a common cold, my whole back aches like I ran a marathon! 🙈 It is totally normal when your immune system is working hard. Try a warm water bath and some rest, hope you feel better soon!

Personally, whenever I get a viral fever, the lower back pain is actually my first symptom before the fever even starts. It usually goes away on its own once the fever breaks. Taking a warm water shower always brings me temporary relief.
