Do tums cause cancer?

I take Tums occasionally for acidity, especially after eating spicy food. Recently, a friend casually mentioned that some antacids can cause cancer. Is there any truth to this claim about Tums? I'm quite concerned.

Honestly, there is no need to keep such heavy fears in your mind. I have used basic antacids occasionally for years, and doing simple pranayama like Sheetali daily has naturally kept my acidity low. Just focus on deep breathing and eating light, fresh food.

Actually, my doctor explained this clearly when I had severe reflux last year. Tums are basically calcium carbonate, which is quite safe when taken in normal limits. There is no scientific research or proof connecting them to cancer, so don't believe random online rumors.

Please do not let these negative thoughts disturb your peace of mind. Taking a basic calcium antacid once in a while is perfectly fine for relief. Keep a calm heart, eat on time, and let nature heal your system gently.

Haha, if they did, half of us foodies would be in deep trouble by now! I pop a couple of these after spicy biryani sessions and I'm absolutely fine. Just enjoy your food and don't stress over every little thing you read online.

Take it from someone who has seen life for six decades now, these fears are mostly created by the internet. I have taken these calcium tablets off and on during my busy working days and nothing bad happened. Relax, your health is in good shape.

They are generally considered safe, but if you have persistent acidity that makes you take them every day, it's better to consult a doctor. It might be some underlying gastric issue that needs a proper diagnosis rather than self-medicating.

Oh God, even I had read some weird article online last year and completely panicked about this! I literally ran to my doctor, and he laughed and said it's just calcium. It is totally safe for normal use, so take a deep breath.

Listen to me, don't read random articles on the internet and scare yourself. They are safe for occasional heartburn when used properly. If your acidity is happening daily, just show it to a proper doctor instead of worrying about such extreme things.

I completely understand why you are asking this because health anxiety can make your mind jump to the worst possible thoughts. I've been there too, worrying about every tablet. But rest assured, these basic chewable antacids are totally safe and don't cause anything like that.

Aise darna thoda normal hai, but they are just simple calcium tablets for acidity. If you are still worried, why not try natural things instead? Thoda sa cold milk or some saunf water after food works wonders for burning sensation.

Arre bilkul nahi yaar, kisne bola ye sab faltu baat? It is just calcium carbonate, simple chalk material to neutralize acid in your stomach. Don't overthink and stress yourself for no reason, just eat on time.

I have high BP and stomach issues, so I always keep track of my medicines. My physician confirmed that simple antacids like these do not cause cancer at all. But yes, always monitor your overall lifestyle and get regular checkups done to stay safe.
