Do they still make 2 stroke outboards?

My old mechanic was talking about the durability of 2-stroke outboards. I was wondering, do manufacturers still make 2-stroke outboards for new sales, or are they mostly discontinued now? I'm interested in their reliability.

They are still made by some brands for commercial users and export markets, but they are getting very rare. For regular boat owners, 4-stroke is the practical choice now. Parts and servicing for 2-strokes are becoming a major hassle.

I understand how frustrating it is when something reliable you have used for years suddenly gets phased out and hard to find. My family went through a similar struggle trying to find parts for our old boat. It feels like you are forced to upgrade even when you don't want to.

While I mostly focus on organic living and clean eating, I do know that older 2-stroke engines release a lot of unburnt oil into our water bodies, which hurts aquatic life. Moving to cleaner engines is definitely the healthier choice for our environment.

Don't stress too much about finding a 2-stroke, buddy. The newer 4-stroke motors are actually way better, quieter, and you don't have to mix oil with the petrol anymore. It makes life so much easier on the water.

Just like we consult specialists for serious health concerns, you should talk directly to authorized marine distributors about this. They can give you clear, verified information on current manufacturing status and local emissions compliance.

I am not very sure about marine engines, but dealing with outdated machinery reminds me of managing thyroid issues—it requires constant monitoring and regular check-ups to keep things running smoothly. Always consult an expert to get the right solution.
