Do tanning beds help psoriasis?

My doctor suggested UV light therapy for my psoriasis. I was wondering if tanning beds could be an option for this. Do tanning beds help psoriasis symptoms?

Tanning beds are not recommended for psoriasis because they carry a high risk of skin cancer and can burn your skin.

Beta, do not use these modern tanning machines for your skin issues, they are very harmful. For psoriasis, gently applying pure coconut oil can give some relief from dry patches. But please consult a proper doctor for real treatment.

I don't think tanning beds are the answer for psoriasis, they might just roast your skin! I'd rather focus on eating anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric and fish, and leave the skin treatments to a proper dermatologist.

Don't believe random online posts claiming tanning beds cure psoriasis. The medical uv treatment done in hospitals is controlled, whereas tanning beds are unregulated and dangerous. Always verify with your dermatologist.

I haven't slept properly in days, but even in my sleepy state, I know tanning beds are a bad idea. They can burn your skin and make psoriasis patches much worse. Stick to your doctor's ointment and get some rest!

I panicked when my doctor mentioned UV light for my psoriasis, thinking I'd have to use tanning beds. But they explained that clinical phototherapy is completely different and safe. Don't worry, just ask your doctor for the correct treatment.
