I read that even a few sessions in a tanning bed can really increase the risk of skin cancer. Now I am super anxious because I tried it once during my college days. Did anyone else do this and get their skin checked by a doctor?

I actually did not know that tanning beds were so harmful until recently. Is it really that dangerous even if someone only uses it once or twice? I would love to know what the doctors suggest about this.

I totally get why you are asking this, it can be scary to think about these things. Yes, tanning beds do cause skin cancer because of the intense UV rays. Please don't worry too much about the past, just avoid using them now and take care of your skin.

Yes, they do. There is no safe limit when it comes to artificial UV tanning. If you are busy and want to maintain healthy skin, just invest 2 minutes in applying sunscreen every morning instead of these harmful salon procedures.

Just like junk food harms your body from the inside, tanning beds harm your skin from the outside. The high levels of UV radiation are a major cause of skin cancer. Eating a clean, plant-based diet rich in vitamins can help, but avoiding these machines is the most important step.

I am no expert, but during my stay abroad, my roommates used tanning beds and later complained of severe skin sensitivity and weird spots. After hearing their experience, I decided to stay far away from those machines.

Haan yaar, yeh tanning beds toh sach mein skin cancer ka bada reason hain. UV rays itni strong hoti hain ki skin damage pakka hai. Unke chakkar mein mat pado na, natural skin tone hi sabse best hai.

They definitely do, the UV exposure is way too high. I prefer staying fit by running outdoors early in the morning when the sun is very mild. Check with your doctor about outdoor activities that keep you healthy without risking skin damage.

I always go to Fortis for my regular checkups, and my dermatologist there was very clear that tanning beds are a absolute no-go. They directly damage skin DNA, leading to cancer. It is best to consult a specialist at a reputed hospital if you have concerns.

Aloo juice and multani mitti are great for mild tan removal at home, but these artificial tanning beds are very dangerous and can cause cancer. If you see any unusual skin growths or dark moles, please don't rely on home remedies. Go see a proper skin doctor immediately.
