Do sealants prevent cavities?

My dentist recommended sealants for my child's teeth to prevent cavities. Do sealants actually work effectively in preventing cavities? I want to make sure it's a good investment for their dental health.

Yes, they absolutely do, yaaro! They act like a plastic shield over your back teeth. Don't stress too much about getting cavities if you get them done, just keep brushing twice a day.

Yes, sealants are very effective at protecting the chewing surfaces of your teeth from decay. It is a very simple and painless procedure that can save you from future toothaches.

I didn't know about this until my dentist mentioned it yesterday. Does the application process hurt at all? I am a bit scared of dental chairs, so any advice would really help.

They protect the teeth very nicely. Along with these modern dental treatments, keep your body healthy by rinsing your mouth with warm salt water daily. Take care and stay positive.

Actually yaar, they are a lifesaver. My dentist put them on my molars because I was getting minor decay. It literally takes 10 minutes and blocks out all the food particles, highly recommend it.

They really do work, especially for the deep grooves in your molars where food easily gets stuck. Don't worry, it is a completely non-invasive process. I got them for my younger sister years ago and she hasn't had a single cavity since.

Yes, they do. Since diabetes makes us more prone to gum infections and tooth decay, getting sealants is a very practical preventive measure. Just make sure you still control your sugar intake and visit your dentist regularly.

They definitely prevent cavities and actually save you a lot of money in the long run. A sealant is much cheaper than getting a root canal and a crown later. Ask your local clinic about the package cost for all back teeth.
