Do roaches sleep?

Sometimes I see roaches moving around at odd hours, but other times they're completely still. Do roaches actually sleep like other creatures? Just a random thought I had.

While they do have periods of rest similar to sleep, remember that their nocturnal activity can track allergens into your living space. If you are experiencing sudden skin rashes or breathing issues, get it checked by a doctor.

With my fluctuating thyroid, my sleep is always messed up, so I envy anything that can sleep peacefully! If you are feeling chronically tired or have sleep issues yourself, please get your thyroid checked.

Lack of rest can shoot up your blood pressure, so sleep is vital for us and apparently for pests too! Keep your home quiet and clean, and don't forget to monitor your own health and BP regularly.

I recently had a pest issue and did some reading; they actually have a circadian rhythm and rest during daylight hours. Once I understood their schedule, it was much easier to target them with pest control at night.

They probably sleep better than I do at fifty-four with all these body aches! It seems they take long rest breaks during the day just to run around our kitchens all night.
