Do roaches bite you in your sleep?

A few times, I've woken up with strange bite marks, and I've also seen a couple of roaches in my room. Can roaches actually bite you in your sleep? I'm a bit freaked out.

It is actually very rare, but they might nibble on dead skin or food crumbs if there is a severe infestation. Just keep your bedroom clean and apply an antiseptic cream if you notice any suspicious red mark.

In my seventy years, I have lived in many old houses and never once been bitten by a cockroach in my sleep. Keep your surroundings clean and rest easy, there is nothing to fear.

Oh God, that sounds so scary! Thankfully they don't usually bite humans unless they are super desperate for food, so just avoid eating in bed and you should be totally fine.

They mostly run away from humans, but to be completely safe, just use some cockroach chalk or gel behind your bed and wash your bedsheets regularly. It's a cheap and effective way to keep them away.

Try not to worry too much about this. They prefer dark, empty places and won't bother you if your room is clean and clutter-free.
