Do roaches affect asthma?

My younger child has asthma, and we've been having some trouble with roaches in our home lately. Can roaches actually affect asthma symptoms? I'm worried about their health.

Keep some neem oil sprayed in the corners to naturally repel them, as cockroach droppings really trigger breathing issues. However, if your asthma is flaring up badly, please consult your doctor immediately.

Yes, cockroach allergens from their saliva and droppings are well-documented triggers for asthma attacks. It is highly recommended to get professional pest control done and follow up with an allergist for proper advice.

They absolutely do affect asthma. I got deep pest control done in my apartment last month because the cockroach dust was making my breathing sensitivity worse, and it made a huge difference.

I get so anxious about dust and pests triggering my breathing issues. Please try to clean up the kitchen drains and keep the house dry, it really helps in reducing those hidden allergens.

Please be very careful as I had to be hospitalized with a severe asthma flare-up due to a dirty kitchen cabinet. Do not ignore this, get a proper medical checkup and clean up your living space immediately.
