Do popping knuckles cause arthritis?

I've always had this habit of cracking my knuckles, and my grandmother used to tell me it would give me arthritis. I still do it quite often. Is there any truth to the old belief that popping knuckles can actually cause arthritis in your hands?

Do not worry and keep a positive mind. Popping your knuckles is just the release of gas bubbles in the joint fluid, it does not cause arthritis. Keep your joints healthy by doing gentle daily prayers and keeping yourself active with light hand movements.

Actually, studies show knuckle cracking doesn't cause arthritis. If you want strong hands and fingers, focus on doing grip exercises and stretching. If you have any existing joint pain, consult a physical therapist for safe hand exercises.

You can relax, popping knuckles does not lead to arthritis. It is a very common habit and totally harmless for most people. Just try not to pull them too hard to avoid any accidental sprains.

I have PCOS and because of that, I sometimes worry about my bone and joint health too. From what I have read, cracking knuckles is just nitrogen bubbles bursting, so it won't cause arthritis. But if you have swelling or pain in your fingers, it’s best to get your uric acid or calcium levels checked.

Actually yaar, my mom used to scold me daily for cracking my knuckles, saying my fingers would get bent. But it's just a myth! The sound is just gas bubbles popping, it doesn't cause arthritis at all. Crack them in peace!
