Do police have mental health issues?

Working in law enforcement can be very stressful and demanding. I often wonder about the toll it takes on a person. Is it common for police personnel to face mental health challenges like stress, anxiety, or depression due to their work?

Actually yes, they face crazy amounts of stress yaar. With 12-hour shifts, dealing with crime, and zero family time, it definitely takes a toll on their mental health. We should really respect their service more.

I was reading an article about this recently. The rate of depression and anxiety among police officers is quite high due to constant high-pressure situations. It is a global issue and they need proper counseling support.

Honestly, if I don't sleep for 6 hours I get cranky, and these guys work 24/7 during festivals and VIP movements. I would go completely mad! They definitely suffer from extreme burnout and sleep deprivation.

Their job is very demanding, no doubt. In my time, we used to suggest regular yoga and meditation to help them calm their minds after duty. Taking warm milk with ashwagandha at night can also help soothe their stressed nerves.

It is so heartbreaking to think about what they go through. Dealing with anxiety myself made me realize how hard it is to work under pressure, and they do it daily. They deserve proper mental health resources and therapy.
