Do plants feel pain?

I was watching a documentary about plants, and it made me wonder. Do plants actually feel pain when they are cut or harmed, like animals do? It seems a bit strange to think about.

Humare yahan toh log bolte hain ki ped-paudhon mein bhi jaan hoti hai, aur unhe pyaar se rakhna chahiye. Woh dard mehsoos karte hain par unke pass humari tarah rone ke liye muh nahi hota. Bas unhe nuksaan mat pahunchao.

Actually, science says they don't have a nervous system or a brain to feel pain like we do, yaar. But they do react to damage by sending chemical signals. It is super fascinating how nature works!

Haan, physically toh unke paas brain nahi hota pain register karne ke liye na. Par studies kehti hain ki jab unhe cut karo toh woh distress signals release karte hain. Quite interesting topic honestly!

They don't feel pain in the human sense because they lack pain receptors. Just like physical symptoms in our body need scientific tests to diagnose, we should trust botanical science on this rather than myths.

I agree with the scientific view that they respond to stimuli but don't feel pain. Understanding plant biology helps us care for them better.
