Do piles shrink on their own?

My doctor told me I have small, internal piles, and suggested some dietary changes. I'm trying to be more regular with my fibre intake and water. Do small piles really shrink back on their own with lifestyle changes, or is treatment usually needed?

Yes, mild ones can shrink if you manage your constipation. Since I am diabetic, I have to be very careful with high-fiber foods that don't spike my sugar. Eating green vegetables and drinking plenty of water helped mine shrink naturally.

They do shrink on their own if you start taking sitz baths and eat lots of papaya. However, if they are bleeding regularly or hanging out, home remedies won't be enough. You must see a doctor in those cases.

Usually, small ones settle down in 4-5 days if you stop straining in the toilet. A simple solution is to drink a glass of warm milk with a spoon of ghee at night. It softens the stool and helps them heal naturally.

Mine took ages to shrink because I was barely getting sleep and eating junk at odd hours. They eventually went down, but only after I stopped sitting on my office chair for 8 hours straight. Stand up and stretch, guys!

They shrink only when you remove the pressure. Use a footstool under your feet while sitting on the toilet to change the angle, it works wonders. Combine this with daily fiber, and you'll see them shrink without medicines.

My health app showed a direct link between my active days and flare-ups. When I completed my 10k steps daily, my digestion improved and the piles shrunk much faster. Keep moving and stay hydrated to let your body heal itself.
