Do piles disappear on their own?

Piles have been coming and going for me for quite some time now, and sometimes they just seem to get better on their own. Should I continue waiting for them to disappear, or is it time to see a doctor about it?

Honestly, if it's just a minor swelling from one bad day of constipation, it usually goes away in a week if you start eating fruits and drinking water. But if it's been weeks and it still hurts, don't feel embarrassed, just go see a doctor.

Mild piles (Grade 1) can definitely shrink on their own if you start eating fiber-rich food and drink plenty of water. But if they are bleeding heavily or protruding out, please don't wait for a home miracle, go see a general surgeon immediately.

Small external hemorrhoids can shrink and resolve on their own within a week or two, especially if you use OTC soothing creams and keep your stool soft. However, chronic or internal piles often need medical procedures, so don't hesitate to consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

I tracked my fiber and water intake on my health app and noticed a huge difference. Small piles definitely shrink on their own once you consistently hit your daily hydration and 30g fiber goals. Give your lifestyle a week to fix it, otherwise consult a pro.

I used to sit and hope every single day that they would just disappear because I was too embarrassed to tell anyone. But ignoring them only made the pain worse. It is much better to seek help early than to suffer in silence like I did.

Hey, don't stress too much! If it's a mild case, they usually settle down on their own once your digestion is back on track. Just eat lots of papaya, drink coconut water, and give it a few days. You'll be absolutely fine!

I agree that mild ones can shrink on their own. Taking a warm water sitz bath twice a day is a very effective way to speed up that natural healing process.

I have been waiting for mine to go away for a week now, but the pain is still there. Has anyone else experienced them healing without any doctor's medicine, or am I just wasting time waiting? I am really worried about it getting worse.

Please don't assume they will just go away. I waited too long and ended up with a severe thrombosed pile that required an emergency minor surgery. If the pain is sharp or if there is bleeding, please get it checked by a surgeon immediately.

Because of my thyroid issues, I have chronic constipation which makes piles keep coming back. They don't just disappear permanently unless you treat the root cause. Please get your routine blood tests and thyroid levels checked if you get them often.
