Do people still die from tb?

I recently saw a government ad about TB awareness, and it got me thinking. With all the medical advancements, do people still die from TB in India?

Tuberculosis is serious, and yes, mortality rates are still a reality in India if treatment is delayed. I always suggest going to a reputed hospital with specialized pulmonologists. Ask your doctor clearly about the exact DOTS course and make sure not to skip a single dose.

Yes, unfortunately, some people still lose their lives to tuberculosis, especially if they do not get diagnosed on time. However, with modern medicines, it is fully curable now. Please stay positive and support anyone going through it.

I was looking up WHO statistics and was shocked to see how many people still die from TB every year, mostly due to lack of awareness or drug resistance. It's a reminder that we need to take persistent coughs very seriously.

While TB is not a joke, it isn't the 19th-century death sentence anymore either! As long as you take your pills on time and don't try to treat it with just warm ginger water, you'll be perfectly fine.
