Do pap smear detect cervical cancer?

My gynaecologist suggested I get a Pap smear during my routine check-up. I know it's important for women's health, but I wanted to confirm, does a Pap smear specifically detect cervical cancer?

Yes, it is the main test to find abnormal cells in the cervix before they even turn into cancer. Please don't be nervous about it, it is a very standard and quick test that every woman should get regularly. It saves lives.

Yes, it detects precancerous changes very early. My sister's doctor caught an issue early through a routine Pap smear and she is perfectly fine now.

Haan beti, ye test bilkul sahi batata hai agar andar koi bimari ban rahi ho toh. Hamare yahan pehle log sharmate the, par ab sab samajhte hain ki ye test karwana kitna zaroori hai daktar didi se.

It definitely does, and it is highly reliable. I made sure my daughter got her first Pap smear and HPV vaccine once she turned of age, as prevention is so much better than cure. Please schedule one with a gynecologist.

Indeed, it is a very effective screening tool to detect cellular changes early. Along with maintaining a clean lifestyle and balanced diet, routine medical screenings like a Pap smear are essential for physical well-being.

Yes! My Pap smear showed high-grade changes last year, and because we caught it so early, the doctor removed the cells before they could turn into cancer. I am completely clear now. Please do not delay getting this test done.
