Do nicotine pouches cause cancer?

I recently started using nicotine pouches as an alternative to smoking, thinking they might be a safer option. But some of my friends are saying they can cause cancer too. I wanted to know if nicotine pouches are linked to cancer risks.

I completely get why you are worried, health anxiety is very real. While synthetic nicotine pouches don't have tobacco (which is the main cancer cause), long-term studies on these new pouches are still limited. It is best to avoid them to keep your mind at peace.

Bhai, tobacco wale pouch se toh pakka cancer hota hai, par yeh jo naye bina tobacco wale nicotine pouch hain unme cancer ka khatra bohot kam hota hai. Phir bhi chemical toh hai hi, toh dur hi raho toh accha hai.

These modern chemical pouches might not have tobacco, but they still irritate your gums. If you have any sores or red spots in your mouth, please see a dentist immediately instead of ignoring it. Try chewing green cardamom or fennel seeds to fight the urge.

According to the health blogs on my fitness app, tobacco-free pouches don't contain the combustion toxins or tobacco leaf that cause cancer. They are much safer than smoking, but keep an eye on your heart rate as nicotine is still a stimulant.

Don't panic. These tobacco-free nicotine pouches are designed to help people transition away from harmful gutkha and cigarettes, so they don't carry the same cancer risk. Still, don't make them a lifetime habit, okay? Gradually try to leave them too.

Nicotine pouches are tobacco-free, so they lack the specific carcinogens found in traditional gutkha or snus. However, nicotine itself can affect blood pressure and oral tissue health over time. Speaking with an oncologist or dentist will give you the most accurate medical perspective.

I tried everything from mulethi to ginger to help my husband quit chewing. These nicotine pouches helped him transition without the cancer risk of tobacco gutkha. But honestly, the ultimate goal should be to quit all of it.

Don't go by what companies claim on the internet about these pouches being 100% safe. Nicotine is still a chemical that affects your cells. If you are using them regularly, go ask a doctor or dentist about the actual risks to be safe.
