Do muscle relaxers help with pain?

I've been having general body aches and stiffness, especially after long days. I'm trying to find some relief. Can muscle relaxers help with overall pain, or are they only for specific conditions?

They only help if your pain is caused by muscle stiffness or spasms, not for general aches. Since I have thyroid issues, I often get joint pains which don't react to muscle relaxers at all. It's best to get a proper checkup to find the source of your pain.

Beta, these pills are strong chemicals that relax the brain and muscles temporarily. For mild aches, trying hot water fermentation or rubbing warm mustard oil is much safer. Don't make a habit of popping pain pills without consulting a proper doctor.

I know how exhausting chronic pain can be. While muscle relaxers do help cut down severe spasms, I found that gentle heating pads and Epsom salt baths also work wonders for regular body soreness. Use the medicine only when the pain is unbearable.

They can help break the pain-spasm cycle in the first few days of an injury. However, once that sharp pain subsides, starting light movements and active stretching is what actually heals the body. Don't just rely on pills to feel better.

Please be very careful with these medicines. I took a muscle relaxer for a shoulder strain and ended up feeling extremely dizzy and fell in the bathroom. If you must take them, do so strictly under a doctor's prescription and rest fully.
