Do most people get cavities?

I recently had a dental check-up and found out I have a cavity, even though I brush regularly. This made me wonder how common they are. Do most people eventually get cavities, or am I just unlucky?

Almost everyone gets them at some point because of our modern diets. I actually use a smart electric toothbrush that tracks my brushing coverage on an app to make sure I don't miss the back teeth. It really helps prevent plaque buildup.

I get so anxious even thinking about the dentist's drill, it literally keeps me awake. If you think you have a cavity, please get it filled early so you don't end up needing expensive and stressful treatments later. Sending you lots of strength!

I used to think my teeth were perfect until I got a sudden toothache last month and had to get two fillings done. Now I make sure to rinse my mouth after every single meal. Regular flossing is also something I started recently.

I totally get it, dental issues can be so painful and frustrating to deal with. It's incredibly common, so don't feel bad about it. Just visit a dentist soon before the pain gets worse and needs a root canal.

Yes, cavities are extremely common across all age groups. Brushing twice a day and reducing sweet tea/coffee helps a lot.
