Do lungs hurt with lung cancer?

My uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer, and he hasn't complained much about lung pain, only a cough. It made me wonder. Do the lungs actually hurt when someone has lung cancer, or is the pain usually from elsewhere?

At my age, every single cough makes me search Google and panic about lung cancer! But honestly, lung tissue itself doesn't have pain nerves, so pain usually happens only if the tumor presses on the chest wall. Best to ask a doctor instead of letting Google scare you to death.

Please keep your mind peaceful and positive, as worrying too much only weakens our body. Many times chest discomfort is just due to gas or seasonal cough. Take deep breaths, pray, and get a doctor to check you properly to keep your mind at ease.

I totally get it, just the thought of this can make you feel so anxious and scared. Sometimes there is no pain in the early stages, which is why people worry. Please talk to a professional who can guide you and give you the right tests to clear your mind.

If you are experiencing any persistent chest pain, chronic cough, or blood in your cough, please do not ignore it. While lung pain can have many minor causes, you must get it checked by a specialist immediately to rule out any serious conditions.

In the clinic, we often see patients who have no chest pain at all but just a persistent cough that won't go away. Pain usually starts if the pleura gets affected. If you or someone you know has been coughing for more than 3 weeks, please get a doctor's consultation done.

Lung cancer may not cause pain in its early stages because the lungs themselves lack pain receptors. Discomfort usually arises once the pleura or surrounding nerves are involved. Consulting a pulmonologist for an X-ray or CT scan is the only accurate way to evaluate this.

Haan yaar, shuruat mein pain nahi hota kyuki lungs mein pain nerves nahi hoti na. Isiliye agar koi lagatar cough ya breathlessness hai, toh bina soche doctor ke paas jana chahiye. Is cheez mein risk bilkul nahi lena chahiye.
