Do lidocaine patches work for muscle pain?

I've been having persistent muscle pain in my shoulder for quite a while now. A friend mentioned that lidocaine patches might help. Do lidocaine patches really work effectively for muscle pain?

I used one of these patches when I had a bad muscle pull in my shoulder during a workout. It did help numb the surface pain for a few hours, but the deep ache remained. It is okay for quick relief, but please don't rely on them daily without a doctor's nod.

Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that numbs the area, so it can provide temporary relief for localized muscle soreness. However, when I had severe back spasms, the hospital doctor told me patches are only for surface nerve pain. You should consult a physician to get the right diagnosis.

These patches are good when you have to travel and can't use hot water bags. But honestly, a simple massage with warm sesame oil mixed with a little camphor works much better for deep muscle pain in the long run. Try natural methods first if the pain is mild.

Haan, temporary relief ke liye toh badhiya hain, they numb the pain area quickly. But strictly muscle pain ke roots ko cure nahi karte na. If your pain is due to some posture issue, then regular stretching is much better.

For normal muscle stiffness, a simple hot compress and mustard oil massage works wonders. Lidocaine patches are chemical painkillers and shouldn't be used daily. If your muscle pain is accompanied by swelling, numbness, or shooting pain down your leg, please go to a doctor immediately.

My son pulled a thigh muscle during his football practice and we tried these patches. They work well to dull the immediate ache so he could sleep, but rest and warm fermentation did the actual healing. Keep them handy but use them sparingly.
