Do kidney infections go away?

I've been diagnosed with a kidney infection, and the doctor prescribed antibiotics. I'm feeling quite unwell and hoping for a speedy recovery. Do kidney infections generally go away completely with treatment, or can they become a recurring issue?

Yes, they certainly go away, but only with proper medical care. In my 60 years, I've seen that ignoring urinary issues leads to kidney infections, but a timely course of antibiotics from a good doctor clears it up completely. Don't worry, just get treated.

They do go away, but for diabetics like us, a kidney infection can escalate very quickly and affect our blood sugar levels. You must see your doctor immediately for antibiotics and monitor your sugar levels closely until it resolves.

Kidney infections clear up with antibiotics, but they can temporarily spike your blood pressure. Make sure to get your BP checked regularly during the infection and follow up with a doctor to ensure your kidneys are fully recovered.

I literally just recovered from one last week! Yes, it goes away completely. The fever and shivering stopped by day three of my medicines, but I made sure to complete the entire 7-day course.

Yes, they go away. My daughter had a severe kidney infection last year. With the right pediatric consultation and a full course of antibiotics, she recovered completely. Just make sure they get plenty of rest and fluids.

I had a kidney infection during my college days and it was so painful. But yes, once you start antibiotics, the pain reduces in a couple of days and it goes away fully. Stay strong and keep drinking water!

Yes, they do go away with the right medicines! Just make sure you drink lots of water and finish the full antibiotic course even if you start feeling better in two days.

Bro, kidney infections don't just go away on their own. I tried waiting it out and ended up with a high fever and severe back pain. Go get antibiotics from a doc, that's the only way.

Yes, they resolve, but a kidney infection is a serious condition that requires prescription antibiotics. If left untreated, it can cause permanent kidney damage or sepsis. Please see a healthcare professional immediately.

They actually go away completely, yaar. I had one last year and was so scared, but the doctor gave me a 10-day antibiotic course and it cleared up. Just don't delay the doctor visit.

They do go away, but you can't ignore them. If you suspect an infection, take half a day off, get a urine culture done, and see a doctor. Delaying it will only cost you more sick leaves later.

I know how terrifying it feels when you have pain there and worry if it's permanent. But trust me, kidney infections are very treatable. Once you get the right medicine from a doctor, you will feel so much better.

Do not rely on drinking cranberry juice or coconut water to cure a kidney infection, those internet remedies won't clear a deep bacterial infection. You need prescription antibiotics, so please go verify with a qualified doctor.

When I had a kidney infection, the back pain and fever only stopped after I took the antibiotics my doctor prescribed. It took about two weeks to feel completely normal again.
