Do i need typhoid vaccine?

I'm planning to travel to a few smaller towns in India this year, and my parents suggested getting the typhoid vaccine. Is the typhoid vaccine generally recommended for adults, especially if traveling within India or eating street food?

Bro, if you eat a lot of street food near college hostels like me, getting the typhoid shot is a lifesaver. Contaminated water is super common, so it's better to get vaccinated than to fall sick during exams.

I was reading up on this because water-borne diseases always spike during monsoons. The typhoid vaccine is highly recommended in India, especially since the bacteria spreads through contaminated food and water.

I totally get it, nobody likes taking extra injections! But typhoid fever can make you incredibly weak for weeks. Getting vaccinated is a very simple way to protect yourself and your family from painful infections.

I got typhoid last year after eating at a local market and it completely ruined my health for a month. My doctor advised me to get the typhoid conjugate vaccine once I recovered. Just get it done, it's worth it.

Even if you eat clean, homemade vegetarian food, outdoor water and raw salads can carry infection during rainy seasons. Getting the vaccine is a wise preventive measure alongside maintaining strict food hygiene.

In India, typhoid is quite endemic. The conjugate vaccine provides long-lasting protection and is usually given to children, but adults working in food sectors or traveling frequently should also consult a clinic for a booster.
