Do i have to soak kidney beans before cooking?

My grandmother told me that kidney beans should always be soaked overnight before cooking, or they can be difficult to digest. I sometimes forget to do it. Do I have to soak kidney beans before cooking, or is it okay to cook them directly?

Yes, always soak rajma for at least 7-8 hours. It not only helps them cook faster but also removes the gases that cause heavy acidity.

If you forget to soak them overnight, just put them in boiling water for an hour with a lid on. It is a quick shortcut that works perfectly.

Soaking rajma saves a lot of cooking gas because they boil in half the time. It is a practical way to save on your kitchen budget monthly.

I once cooked them without soaking and got severe stomach pain. Has anyone else faced bad bloating from unsoaked beans?

Soaking makes them super soft and the gravy comes out really thick and delicious. Definitely worth planning it the night before!

I used to feel so guilty for forgetting to prep dinner, but honestly, it is totally fine. Just use the hot water trick and enjoy your meal.

Personally, my stomach gets very bloated if I eat rajma that hasn't been soaked overnight. I always make sure to soak them for at least 8 hours.

In our home, grandmother always insisted on soaking all lentils and beans overnight to make them easy on the stomach. It is a time-tested habit.

I totally get it, sometimes we want to cook rajma instantly but forgot to soak them. Doing a quick hot water soak for 30 minutes can save the day!

Bro, unsoaked rajma takes forever to boil in hostel cookers. Always soak them or you will end up eating hard beans.

It is completely fine if you forgot, don't worry about health risks. Just boil them extra in the pressure cooker so they are soft and easy to digest.
