Do hummingbirds sleep in the same place every night?

We have a hummingbird feeder in our garden, and I often wonder about their habits. Do hummingbirds sleep in the same place every night, or do they find a new spot daily?

They actually prefer to return to a safe, familiar branch if it is sheltered from wind and predators. It helps them rest peacefully.

Birds have strong instincts, children. They usually find a safe, hidden twig in dense trees to sleep every night so cats can't find them. We should always plant more leafy trees in our courtyards to help these tiny creatures find shelter.

I had a tiny hummingbird nesting on my balcony plant recently. It literally came back to the exact same twig every single evening around sunset to sleep. It was amazing to watch.

Yes, they do look for consistency. Once they find a twig that keeps them safe from the wind and predators, they will keep coming back to it. Just make sure not to disturb them if you spot one sleeping.

My kids and I love observing birds in our garden. We noticed a tiny bird returning to our hibiscus bush every evening. It is really heartwarming for children to learn how animals find their safe homes.
