Do half elves sleep?

My daughter is obsessed with fantasy books and asked me if 'half elves sleep'. It made me wonder about how different people manage their sleep cycles. Like, is there a range of 'normal' sleep duration, or do some people naturally need very little sleep without issues?

Honestly, if we look at the pure lore of fantasy games, they do need about four hours of actual sleep or meditation. Just like our body needs proper green nutrition to recharge, their half-human side requires proper physical rest to function.

As far as the fantasy books go, yes they do sleep unlike full elves. Just like we need to monitor our daily sleep cycles to keep our health and sugar levels stable, half-elves cannot completely skip rest without getting exhausted.

Oh god, imagining not sleeping makes me so anxious, I literally cannot function without a full 8 hours! Yes, half-elves do sleep because of their human side, and thank goodness for that because sleep deprivation is so scary for the brain.

I am not completely sure, but I think from the fantasy gaming rules they do need some hours of sleep. Our bodies can get so messed up with hormonal imbalances when we don't rest, so even fictional half-humans probably need that downtime to stay healthy.

From a nerd perspective, yes, they absolutely sleep. Their biology is 50% human, which means their nervous system and brain require proper sleep cycles to heal and reboot, just like you and me.

Haha, I was just reading about this during my recovery last week when I was stuck in bed! Yes, they definitely sleep for about 4 to 8 hours depending on the edition. Full elves just do their reverie trance thing, but half-elves have that human DNA that forces them to actually snooze.
