Do formula fed babies sleep longer?

I'm a new mom and absolutely exhausted. My friend mentioned that her formula-fed baby sleeps for longer stretches than my breastfed baby. Is this generally true? Do formula-fed babies sleep longer?

Every child has their own rhythm of resting and waking. While formula takes slightly longer to digest, keep a calm mind and nourish your baby with love; they will sleep well when their body is ready.

I felt so guilty when I had to switch to formula, thinking I was failing my baby. But honestly, he did start sleeping in slightly longer stretches because formula digests slower than breastmilk, which gave me some much-needed rest.

Haan, thoda toh farak padta hai kyunki formula thoda heavy hota hai breastmilk se. Par har baccha alag hota hai, toh bilkul rule mat maan ke chalna isko.

Don't stress yourself comparing your baby's sleep to others. Formula-fed babies might sleep a bit longer because it keeps them full for longer, but your peace of mind is what matters most. You are doing great.

Yes, it is true that formula milk is heavier on the tiny digestive system, which can lead to longer sleep intervals. Just ensure the baby is kept upright after feed to prevent colic.
