Do energy drinks affect your liver?

Drinking energy drinks quite often, especially during late-night study sessions, my mom told me they're very bad for the liver and asked me to stop. Can these drinks really affect my liver function badly?

I didn't know these drinks could be bad for the liver, I always thought they just had too much sugar. Does this happen only if you drink them every day, or can even occasional cans cause harm? I am a bit worried because my brother drinks them during exams.

While reading up on caffeine and niacin toxicity, I found out that consuming too many energy drinks can actually cause liver inflammation. The high amount of synthetic B-vitamins in some brands is what puts pressure on the liver. It's quite interesting how these seemingly harmless drinks can be so heavy on our internal organs.

These energy drinks are not only expensive but can lead to heavy medical bills later. A standard Liver Function Test (LFT) costs around 600 to 1000 rupees if you start having issues. Save your money on both the drinks and the future tests by sticking to regular water or nimbu paani.

As someone who survives on caffeine to get through night shifts, this is scary news! I knew they ruined my sleep, but liver damage is a whole new level of worry. Maybe I should finally try switching to simple black coffee or just sleep like a normal human being.

Please be very careful with these drinks. I used to have two cans daily during high-pressure work weeks and ended up with elevated liver enzymes and severe gastritis. If you are experiencing fatigue or pain in the upper right abdomen, please stop these drinks and consult a doctor immediately.

You really don't need energy drinks for workouts; they are mostly just chemicals and sugar which strain your liver and kidneys. A clean diet, proper sleep, and black coffee or pre-workout in moderation are much better. Focus on natural fuel to keep your body performing well.

I completely understand the anxiety you might feel if you have been consuming these regularly and suddenly read about liver risks. It is scary to think we might be hurting our bodies. Just try to cut back gradually, your body has amazing healing powers once you stop overloading it.
