Do earaches cause jaw pain?

I've had an earache for a couple of days now, and it's quite painful. What's also concerning is that my jaw on that side has started hurting too. Do earaches commonly cause jaw pain?

Bro, yes! Last week during exams my ear was hurting and the pain literally spread to my jaw, making it hard to chew. I think the nerves are totally connected there.

Yes, they can. The temporomandibular joint is very close to the ear canal, so pain can easily radiate. Please visit a proper clinic or hospital so they can check if it is an ear infection or a dental issue.

Definitely, clenching your jaw during heavy lifts can also trigger ear pain because of the shared nerves. Try to keep your jaw relaxed and see a specialist if the discomfort persists.

Yes, they are closely connected. An ear infection can easily cause pain that feels like it is in your jaw.

Applying a warm compress to the side of your face can help ease the radiating pain. But if you have high fever, swelling, or fluid draining from the ear, please consult a doctor immediately.
