Do diabetics sweat a lot?

I have diabetes, and I've noticed that I sweat a lot more than I used to, even when it's not very hot or I'm not doing much activity. Is excessive sweating a common symptom or side effect experienced by diabetics? It's becoming quite bothersome.

I used to sweat excessively, especially at night, and ignored it until I had a severe hypoglycemic episode. Sweating can be a direct sign of low blood sugar, which is very dangerous if left untreated. Please consult your physician to keep your levels safe.

Excessive sweating in diabetics can occur due to hypoglycemia or autonomic neuropathy affecting sweat glands. Because it can stem from different underlying causes, self-diagnosing is not recommended. It is best to have a detailed discussion with your doctor.

I recently experienced this cold sweating during my morning walks and realized my insulin dose was too high, causing my sugars to drop. Getting my dosage adjusted by my doctor completely solved the sweating. Definitely get your daily sugar charts checked.

Beta, sweating can happen when the body is working too hard to manage sugar. Drinking warm water and sitting in a cool, airy place helps calm the body down temporarily. But you must let your doctor know about this during your next visit.

Yes, sweating a lot can definitely happen, especially when sugar levels dip! Keep some glucose biscuits handy just in case you feel a bit shaky. Stay happy, take care, and do visit your doctor for a routine checkup soon! 😊

Actually yaar, my dad sweats like crazy even when the AC is on, and his doctor said it's because of sudden sugar fluctuations. It is quite common but you shouldn't take it lightly. Ek baar checkup karwa lo, safety first always!
