Do diabetics need carbs?

My doctor told me to control my carb intake since I have diabetes, but then my dietitian said I still need some carbs for energy. I'm a bit confused now. Do diabetics actually need carbohydrates in their diet, or should they try to avoid them completely?

Honestly, life without carbs is so boring, and actually diabetics need them too! It is all about choosing the right ones, like brown rice or multi-grain roti instead of direct white maida. I always say don't fully cut them out, just control the portion sizes so you don't compromise on taste.

Hamare ghar mein mere bade bhai ko sugar hai, aur woh daliya aur chawal dono thoda thoda khaate hain. Shareer chalane ke liye takat toh chahiye na, bilkul chhodna theek nahi hai. Bas thoda control rakhiye aur roz thoda paidal chaliye, sab accha hoga.

Carbs are essential for basic body function, but the exact amount is highly personal for every diabetic. Before making any changes or cutting them down, please consult your doctor or a clinical nutritionist. They will give you a proper plan based on your latest HbA1c reports.

I used to feel so guilty even touching a piece of roti when my sugar was high, it was emotionally exhausting. Please don't starve yourself of carbs because our bodies genuinely need them to survive. It took me a long time to learn that balance is better than extreme restriction.

My brain does not function without carb energy, especially when I am surviving on four hours of sleep. Diabetics definitely need them for daily energy, or they will feel like zombies. Just stick to complex stuff like oats, so u dont get those crazy sugar crashes at midnight.

Don't blindly follow those extreme keto or zero-carb trends you see on Instagram reels, they can be really harmful. Every diabetic body responds differently to different foods. Please check with a proper diabetologist instead of trusting random online diet advice.
