Do dandruff combs work?

I've been having really bad dandruff lately, especially this winter. Someone suggested trying a special comb for it, but I'm not sure if they actually do anything or if it's just a gimmick. Has anyone seen good results with these?

My mother always tells me to apply warm coconut oil with lemon, but for stubborn dandruff, these hard plastic combs can actually irritate the scalp more. It is always better to ask a skin doctor for a proper anti-fungal shampoo. They work much better without scratching your head.

I actually have a lot of dandruff too and was thinking of buying one online. Are those wooden ones gentler than plastic, or do they all hurt the scalp? If anyone has used them without getting hair fall, please let me know.

Dandruff combs only help in scraping off the visible flakes temporarily, but they don't treat the root cause, which is usually a fungal issue or dry scalp. Using them too harshly can lead to scalp infections. A dermatologist can prescribe the right lotion or medicated shampoo for permanent relief.

Bro, honestly, don't waste your money. I tried one of those fine-tooth combs and it just pulled out half my hair along with the flakes. A basic ketoconazole shampoo from the chemist works way better.

True, they don't do much. Better to use a silicone scalp massager gently while shampooing instead of those harsh scraping combs.

I think keeping your body cool with lots of dahi and water works better than scratching your head with these weird combs! When I eat too much spicy street food, my dandruff always flares up. Better to focus on a clean scalp and good diet.
