Do constipation cause piles?

I've been dealing with chronic constipation for a few months now, and it's quite uncomfortable. My uncle warned me that if I don't fix it, it could lead to piles. Is it true that constipation directly causes piles?

Yes, continuous straining during bowel movements is the main cause of piles. Please increase your daily intake of high-fibre foods like oats, green leafy vegetables, and drink at least 3 litres of water daily.

Yes it absolutely does, the pressure damages the veins there. Please don't ignore it and start taking a mild stool softener after asking your doctor.

Straining due to constipation also shoots up my blood pressure instantly. Managing your morning routine with light walks, warm water, and regular medical checkups is very important to prevent these complications.

I know how painful and embarrassing this can feel, I suffered for months silently. Please don't feel ashamed, see a doctor early because ignoring it only makes the pain and bleeding much worse.

Chronic constipation is indeed a primary trigger for hemorrhoids due to the constant pressure. While dietary changes help, it is best to consult a general surgeon early before the condition advances.
