Do cockroaches cause asthma?

My young son has been having respiratory issues recently, and we've been trying to pinpoint the cause. Our house had a minor cockroach problem a while back. Could cockroaches cause asthma or worsen existing symptoms?

Haan na, cockroach dust can really mess with your lungs, especially for kids. Their droppings mix with normal house dust and we inhale it without knowing. Better to use a good vacuum cleaner and keep the damp areas of the house totally dry.

I totally get it, dealing with allergies and breathing issues is so stressful. Yes, their shedding skin and droppings contain proteins that are very common triggers for asthma and allergies. Please make sure to get your home deep-cleaned to help ease those symptoms.

Cardio becomes so tough if you have dust allergies or asthma flare-ups. Cockroach debris is a major allergen that can restrict your airways. Keeping your living space clean and well-ventilated is just as important as your daily workout and nutrition.

Listen, don't stress too much about it, but yes, they can trigger asthma attacks if you are sensitive to dust. Just get some good pest control done and wash your bedsheets in warm water. You'll feel much better once the dust settles!

Actually, my hostel roommate had crazy sneezing fits and breathing issues because of the old wooden cupboards. Our college doc told us it was cockroach allergy and made us clean the whole room with disinfectant. It actually worked wonders.

They are indeed a documented source of indoor allergens that can provoke severe asthma symptoms. If you or anyone in your family is experiencing persistent wheezing or a chronic cough, please consult a pulmonologist for a proper allergy test and diagnosis.
