Do chemicals in sunscreen cause cancer?

I use sunscreen daily, especially when I go out for work. However, I read an article recently about certain chemicals in sunscreen potentially being harmful. Do the chemicals in sunscreen cause cancer, or is it a misconception?

I had a severe allergic reaction to a chemical sunscreen once, which taught me to be cautious. While they don't cause cancer, if you have sensitive skin, consult a dermatologist to find a safe mineral sunscreen.

No, they definitely don't! Sunscreen actually protects us from harmful UV rays which are the real cause of skin cancer. Keep applying your SPF daily!

Not at all. Think of sunscreen as a protective shield, just like a good hot tea on a rainy day! It's totally safe and highly recommended by doctors.

Hey, don't worry about those online rumors. Sunscreens go through strict safety tests before they hit the market, and using them is crucial to prevent sunburn and skin damage.

I am a bit confused because some articles suggest using physical sunscreens instead. Are mineral ones safer than chemical ones for daily use?

I also freaked out after reading a blog and threw away all my sunscreens. But after speaking to my doctor, I realized that sun protection is absolutely necessary and the cancer rumors are false.
