Do cavities stink?

Last week, my dentist mentioned I might have a small cavity. Now, I'm constantly worried about bad breath. Is it true that cavities can make your breath really stink?

They absolutely do stink because of the food stuck in them. My daughter had a tiny one behind her molar that we didn't see at first, but her breath was very bad. Once the dentist cleaned and filled it, the smell vanished instantly.

Yes, they stink. It's basically bacteria rotting away your tooth, so no amount of chewing gum is going to hide that. Just skip the home remedies, book a dentist appointment, and get a professional filling done.

They really do stink, and honestly, it made me so self-conscious that I stopped talking closely with my colleagues. I felt so bad about it for months. Please know you are not alone in this, and getting a dental checkup will take away all this stress.

Yes, cavities do emit a bad smell. My grandmother used to tell me to keep a clove in my mouth to mask it, which helps for an hour or two. But for a proper cure, we must visit a dentist who can clean the decay and restore the tooth.

Bro, they smell terrible. I had one back tooth that was completely black inside and smelled like garbage every morning. Finally went to a local doc, got it filled, and now my breath is normal again. Just go get it fixed.

I actually just got my filling done last Tuesday for this exact reason. The bad smell was bothering me for weeks despite brushing three times a day. Literally right after the filling, the odor was completely gone.
