Do cavities make your breath stink?

My friends sometimes hint that my breath isn't always fresh, even though I brush regularly. I'm wondering if a hidden cavity could be causing my breath to stink, or if there's another reason. Do cavities make your breath stink?

Yes, they do, as bacteria thrive in the decayed area. Just like I monitor my BP regularly, I make sure to get dental checkups twice a year to prevent these issues. Health is all about regular maintenance.

Indeed, food gets trapped in the cavity and rots, leading to a foul odor. You can chew on some cloves for temporary relief, but you must visit a dentist to clean and seal the tooth properly.

I have been noticing a strange smell lately and think I might have a cavity. Does the dentist cleaning process hurt a lot, or is it quick?

My dentist explained that cavities create micro-pockets where food decomposes away from your toothbrush's reach. This decomposition releases sulfur gases, which cause the bad odor. Only a proper filling can close these pockets.

Yes, the anaerobic bacteria in the decayed tooth release compounds that smell bad. Mouthwashes only offer temporary relief by masking the odor. Professional dental treatment is necessary to solve the issue.

Please get it checked, as I ignored my bad breath thinking it was just acidity. The infection had actually reached deep into the root, and I ended up needing a root canal. Catch it before it gets complicated.

Yes, it is very common for cavities to cause bad breath because bacteria multiply in the decayed space. Regular flossing helps clean out the debris, but getting the cavity filled is the only permanent solution.

Look, simple logic—if there is a hole in your tooth, food will rot there. No chewing gum can fix that. Go to the dentist, get it cleaned, and get a filling done.

Haan yaar, bad breath toh hoti hi hai jab daant mein keda lag jaye. Khaana fasne lagta hai na wahan par. Brush karne se bhi nahi nikalta, isliye doctor ko dikhana hi padega.

I was reading about this because my roommate has been struggling with bad breath despite brushing constantly. Turns out a hidden cavity is often the culprit. I'm going to suggest they get a dental checkup.

Haan yaar, they really do. I tried using mouthwash five times a day but nothing worked until the dentist actually filled the cavity. The smell went away immediately after that.
