Do carbs cause diabetes?

My doctor recently told me my blood sugar levels are borderline, and I need to be careful with my diet. I've heard that eating too many carbs is the main reason people get diabetes, so I'm trying to cut them out completely. Is that the right approach?

Carbs themselves don't cause diabetes, but refined carbs like maida and sugar cause insulin spikes. I always advocate focusing on complex carbs like oats and brown rice, and doing a 15-minute walk after meals to help manage blood sugar levels.

Haan na, simple carbs like white rice and sugar instantly raise blood glucose. But complex carbs are good for energy. It's all about keeping portion control and staying active, na.

Actually, it's not the carbs, yaar, it's the lack of physical activity and eating too much refined junk. If you are active, healthy carbs are totally fine. Just skip the sugary drinks and maida items.

No, carbs are essential for our daily energy. Just try to limit highly processed foods and sugars to keep your body healthy.

I track my daily macro split on my health app. Simple carbs cause a fast glycemic load, while complex carbs keep it stable. If you track your fiber intake and keep your calorie count in check, carbs are completely safe.

I am so confused because every health reel says carbs are the enemy! I love my daily rice plate and now I'm constantly worried I might get diabetes because of it. Is anyone else feeling stressed about eating basic roti and rice?

When I was first diagnosed with prediabetes, I cried thinking I would have to give up rotis forever. It was so mentally exhausting. But I learned that eating balanced meals with fiber and protein actually helps, you don't have to starve yourself.
