Do artificial sweeteners contribute to diabetes?

My father has diabetes, so I try to be very careful with my sugar intake. I've started using artificial sweeteners, but then I heard they might contribute to diabetes themselves. Can someone clarify this for me?

My mom was super worried about this too. Honestly, they don't raise blood sugar instantly like real sugar does, but relying on them too much can still affect your gut health. It is best to use them in moderation while slowly reducing your overall sweet tooth.

As someone managing high BP, I know lifestyle is key. Artificial sweeteners themselves don't directly cause diabetes, but they shouldn't replace a balanced diet and regular doctor checkups. Keeping your weight and activity levels in check matters much more.

These artificial chemicals can confuse the body's natural systems over time. It is much better to satisfy your sweet cravings naturally with fruits, and practice regular pranayama like Kapalbhati to help keep your internal organs functioning well.

I've been diabetic for 8 years now. Sweeteners are a decent transitional tool to cut down heavy sugar, but don't treat them as a free pass. Focus on lowering your carb intake and checking your HbA1c every three months instead.

Agreed, they don't directly cause it, but a wholesome diet is always safer than chemical sugar substitutes.
