Do allergies make asthma worse?

My daughter has both asthma and allergies, and it's hard to manage sometimes. When her allergies flare up, she seems to struggle with her breathing more than usual. Do allergies really make asthma symptoms worse for children?

Yes, they absolutely do. Dust mites, pollen, and pet dander can directly inflame your airways and trigger a severe asthma attack if you are not careful.

They definitely make it worse, especially during seasonal changes. Doing steam inhalation with a drop of eucalyptus oil helps clear my chest, but always keep your doctor's inhaler ready for emergencies.

Yes, they do. I track the air quality index on my phone every day, and whenever the pollen or pollution count is high, my chest tightness definitely increases.

My pulmonologist at Fortis told me that managing allergies is key to controlling asthma. If you feel sudden chest tightness or severe difficulty breathing, skip the home remedies and head to the emergency room immediately.

I totally get it, dealing with both allergies and asthma is exhausting. A simple dust allergy can make you wheeze so much, so please take care of yourself during change of season.

My daughter's asthma always flares up when she plays in dusty parks. We've started washing her bedsheets in hot water weekly to reduce allergens, and it has really helped her breathe easier.

Indeed they do, this is known as allergic asthma. It's very helpful to identify your specific triggers through an allergy test so you can avoid them and prevent attacks.

Bro, yes, 100%. If I spend even ten minutes near a dusty cupboard, my chest blocks up and I have to reach for my blue inhaler immediately.

Yes, they do. Wearing a good quality mask when stepping out in pollen season can make a huge difference.
