Do adults get cavities?

Though I try to brush twice a day, lately one of my teeth has been feeling a bit sensitive. My mother said that once you're an adult, cavities are not common if you take care. Do adults still get cavities easily?

Yes, adults definitely get cavities, especially around old fillings or if gums recede. It is best to visit a dentist every six months to catch them before they reach the nerve.

I totally get it, we think dental issues are only for kids who eat chocolates. But I got two massive cavities last year out of nowhere. It is really painful, so please get it checked.

I had three fillings last month. My dentist advised me to stop snacking late at night and start using an alcohol-free mouthwash before sleeping. It makes a huge difference.

Yes, adults get them all the time. Proper brushing and flossing are necessary even when we grow up.

True, adults get them quite often. I found that switching to an electric toothbrush really improved my dental hygiene.
